Sometimes when sending to a group of people, you want to be able to send the email without any of the recipients being able to send to the same group as well. Mail Lists would be used primarily for Internal Newsletters or Announcements, however, it is recommended that you use Futuremail for any external communication/marketing, or frequent template use for both internal or external emails. To create a Mail List, please follow the instructions below:



Setting up Mail Lists
  • Hover your mouse over Mail and select Lists.
  • Click Create Mailing List to proceed.
  • Enter the address you would like for sending to the list.
  • Enter a description (optional).
  • Set Subscribers Reply To to the address you would like people to send to if they reply to the email
    • List: will send any replies back to the list or it will go to the moderator if Password Protection is on.
    • Sender: will send any replies back to the original sender of the list (Preferred).
    • Moderator: will send any replies to the Moderator's Email address.
  • Set Posting Mode to either allow just members or anyone to send out an email to the list/Moderator.
  • Set Password Protection to one of the following
    • Not Password Protected: will send to the list if the origin email address is allowed by Posting Mode..
    • Client Moderated: will send the email to the moderator for them to forward it onto the list.
    • Server Moderated: will send to the list if the password is supplied at the start of the subject, or to the Moderator if the password is incorrect or missing.
  • Set a Password if Password Protection is enabled.
  • Enter the Moderator E-Mail address.
  • Specify a Max Message Size, and tick the box if you wish to limit message sizes.
  • Specify the Maximum Recipients per Message as necessary.
  • Enter each address that you wish to receive a copy of the email on a Separate Line in the Mailing List Members section.
  • Click Save. Your Mail List is now active!
Note: This is primarily for internal use only, If you wish to send to multiple clients or customers at once, or send using a template, for instance when clients or customers sign up, we suggest you look into using our Futuremail platform.
