Pages are normally used for displaying certain information for your website, or providing contact options/forms, and are normally included in menus and site maps.
Opposed to Posts, Pages usually contain more information, and are sometimes formatted to include lists or tables.

Adding a page is as simple as creating a post.
To add a new page, Click Add New on the left hand menu, under Pages.

The only two things that are necessary for a page, is the Title, and the content.
Other features that can be set:
- Parent
- Helpful for sorting through a list of pages. Can also change what shows in the address bar.
- Set a another page that has already been created as the Parent, and your new page will be a sub-page.
- Template
- Some themes have different templates available. Choose the best template depending on the theme, and what you want to add to the page.
- Order
- Set a custom value for the Order of the pages. If all pages are left at zero, they will be sorted by parent and sub pages, and then in alphabetical order.
- Featured image
- Used for banners and thumbnails
Click Screen Options in the top right hand corner, to see other features that can be enabled.
Click the image to the right now to see what it looks like. The options are explained below;
- Custom Fields
- Handy if you are developing your own plugins
- Slug
- Used when linking directly to the page
- This will be created automatically when the page is saved
- Author
- You can set the 'Author' of the page to another user, if multiple people have their own Wordpress Login details.
- Discussion
- Set whether you wish to allow Trackbacks or Comments on this post.

Once all the features have been set that you want to set, either Save the page as a Draft, or choose the date you want the page to appear on your site, and click Publish.
Pages will only appear to visitors to your site once they are published. Leave the date set to Immediately if you would like to Page to be viewable straight away.
