To disable a Widget, so that it doesn't show on the website, but so you don't lose the information stored in it, drag it to the the Inactive Widgets section.
To restore the Widget, drag it back the Location Area on the right, and position it where you want it to display on the website.
To delete a Widget completely, instead of disabling it, open the settings for that Widget, and click on Delete.
