To change your email account to use SMTP Authentication in Outlook 2007, follow the instructions below:
- From within Outlook 2007, click on the Tools Menu.
- Select Account Settings
- Select Account Settings

- Click on your email account, so that it is highlighted Blue
- Click the Change... button to edit your current settings.
- Click the Change... button to edit your current settings.

- Confirm you are using a MediaCloud outgoing server
- This will either be mail.yourdomain.com.au or mail.mediacloud.net.au
- If your outgoing server is configured to your ISP you DO NOT require outbound authentication.
- Click the More Settings... button to access advanced settings.

- Select the Outgoing Server tab from the top of the Menu
- Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) required authentication
- Leave the first option selected
- Click OK
- Proceed to click Next, Finish & finally Close to complete changes.
